Hi everybody! This is an announcement that the next Beginning Fencing Class will begin Monday, March 16, 7:30-8pm. Apologies that it has taken so long to set a firm date. Participants (ages 10 and up) will need to purchase an “Access Membership” ($34 yr) from USA Fencing (www.usafencing.org). Additionally, they will need to fill out a club membership form (available at the Anchorage Fencing Club). Equipment will be provided by the club, but everyone should wear exercise appropriate clothing (sweat pants, t-shirt) and especially INDOOR ONLY gym shoes (everyone entering the gym MUST wear indoor only gym shoes, even parents and spectators!) The Beginning Fencing Class will teach the basics of foil fencing in 10 sessions, $20 per session (10 lesson punchcards are available to purchase for $180). Anyone who wants to continue participating is welcome to keep coming to the club once the Beginning Fencing Class has concluded. The fencing club begins at 6:30pm with a half hour drill line, followed by open fencing till 8:30/9pm ($20 per session), Mondays and Thursdays.
